Here are pictures of the newest additions to our office family. They are both pure bred Dobermans.
This is Dante. He is 12 week old. The first thing everyone remarks is:
.
“Look at those paws. He’s going to be a monster.”
They’re right. I think he’s going to be big!
And this is our other boy, Diesel, who is just 9 months old and look at his size. He’s lost that silly puppy look and is starting to look quite intimidating isn’t he?
Frankly, I have spent my entire life scared of Dobermans. I saw them as vicious attack dogs that would rather bite you than look at you. I never thought we’d own one.
But Josh did some research on the breed and discovered that they are actually great dogs who love people, are great with small children, and love to play with other dogs. (This is Diesel With Josh’s Daughter – He looks so ‘vicious’ doesn’t he?)
I faced my fears, got to know the breed and realized that everything I was scared of was just in my head. A Doberman is everything we were looking for in a dog and I would have missed out on a great breed & friend.
What about you? What are you scared of? What is holding you back? We all have fears. Fear of dogs. Fear of failure. Fear of success.
Fear keeps us locked in a box. The key to escape and reaching new heights is to face your fears. Write them down. Read over your list. Then write down what it is about those items that really scares you. What is the worst case scenario? What is the probability that will happen? What is the best case scenario? What is that probability? Do some research and learn more about the topic.
What you’ll realize is that many of the fears that hold you back are much bigger in your head than in reality. Soon you’ll be able to overcome them easily and a whole new world of opportunities will be available.
Be Bold. Expect Success. Expect Abundance.

Nice photo’s how’d you get Dante to stay still long enough to take this photo? I think its great you guys bring your dawgs to work. Talk about a more relaxed and playful environment. How’s the training going?
Thanks! I LOVE it too!
Training is going great!

Beautiful dogs! I’m sure you’ll have years of fun with them!
I’m amazed at how protective dobies are, too. They know who they can rough-house with and who they can’t! Josh’s daughter couldn’t be in better … paws…lol!

I have a lot of fears! Even though I’m known as a very competitive (especially in sports) I feel that I cannot implement my compertitiveness in my professional career.
Something that makes me nervous is that when I have just a little fear about something, it turns to be my fobia after a while. For e.g. I used to have like a fear to drive manual cars and now it turned to be my fobia. I’m very skillfull driver with automatic cars though. This drives me crazy and I cannot help my self to overpass this.
Every advice from you guys would help me a lot.
yours

I know what you mean about how some dogs get called dangerous etc. I have been involved in the rescue of 3 german shepherds and can honestly say they can be giant teddy bears! They can also be very protective of their families. Like you say, look passed your fears and make great things happen! I know that I am on my way to making those great things happen and both you and Josh have helped a great deal!!!
Hi Lou,
So I am getting married to the most wonderful woman in Colombia…you and your family were a very positive influence in my life…to tell you this…is long overdue on my part.
Blessings,
Tom
Hey Guys….those Dobies look really healthy. All I’ve had growing up were Dobermans. They are GREAT watchdogs and will die for their owners. When I was small…about 2-3 years old, I lived in Puerto Rico and we lived pretty much on the side of a small mountain. I use to play with my 2 Dobies, at the time, outside all the time…I use to ride them like horses…also, if I would get too close to the edge of the mountain they would actually tug me back towards the house. They are VERY smart! The last Dobie I bought was for my mom and she was a Red Dobie…the 1st one i ever bought. I’m glad to see you are not keeping your Dobies away from the family…which most people do. Cool dogs!
Exactly. Everything that I have read and and seen about Dobies is that they are great family dogs – loyal, smart, and protective. I’m so glad that I got over my fears!

Besnik,
Try this tro help get over your fears: make a bold statement of what you want to accomplish in your professional career. Fro instance: I want to be earning a 6 figure income within the next year. Then write down all of the doubts and fears that come to mind. The first step is to face your fears. Then take each fear and write down what is really scaring you about it. For instance: the fear may have been “I’m afraid that I’ll fail.” What is it that you are really afraid of? For instance: “I would be embarrassed with my family and friends.” Great. Now you’ve identified the core fear. Now assess how likely it is that they would think badly of you – and if they did, how would that affect your life. What you’ll find is that we give a lot more power to the fear than it actually has and that the probability of it happening in the first place are low. The other thing to do is to write down the ost of doing nothing. In this example, would you be embarrassed anyway by oing nothing? Probably. And it has the greater probability. So it is better to take action and prosper.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you’d like to talk further.
