A Lesson From The MJ Memorials…
Last night I watched a few minutes of Dateline on televsion. They were of course, covering the Michael Jackson memorial service. I listened to person after person come on stage and talk about the wonderful things that MJ did for entertainment; for race relations; for people across the world, for his children; and for them personally.
It helped me to see MJ in a different light – as just a person – not the media persona ( The CRAZY person most people think about).
And I wondered why we all wait until a person dies to show them how much we care. I’m sure MJ would loved to have seen the outpouring of love from around the world. Wouldn’t it be great if we did that for people when they’re alive?
So my thoughts are thoughts are these: don’t waste another single moment. Let the people you care about know it. Do it now. Don’t wait for a better time – that better time is right now!

I agree with Brian’s post. Today we live in a society where everything goes so quickly that we fail to realize the the people who make a difference in our lives. Just showing people that you care does go a long way.. especially in these times. If you have employees, let them know that you appreciate them. They’ll carry you further, and you’ll feel much better knowing that you’ve made them feel much appreciated.

I just want to say thank you and that I appreciate what you said. There is an old Bluegrass song that says “Give me my flowers while I’m leaving so I can enjoy them while I can” How true is it to let those around you know how much they mean to you NOW so they can enjoy that feeling of appreciation.

That was a Great post. I think alot of us are the same way we get all caught up and dont stop to appreciate things. Its always nice to slow down for a little bit and appreciate what we have and the people in our lives.
